I used my Wacom pen to work on some brainstorming ideas in Figma:
I have also set up a few pages in my design journal since, I still feel more flexible using paper and pencil. They will compliment each other.
I spent a lot of time working with Blender on material designs:
I was very productive, although my work process and work flow need improvement.
Naming layers, setting origin points, snap tool, boolean tool, how to organize the work area… these were my main issues for improvement.
Still, the overall concept is very workable! I had fun moving the blocks around and arranging different scenarios: jungle, mountain, river modules.
Working with a hex for a stud seems very practical and structurally strong. I will set up some more materials and maybe develop some textures and make some photo studies… there is always a free cat rig to download… anyway, I am proud of the effort. I am also stopping with a good feeling toward using Blender. I do need to do some more foundational studies, though.
